General Specifications
The P&H 77XR Blasthole Drill by Komatsu Mining Corp. is designed for efficient drilling operations. It supports hole diameters ranging from 200 mm to 270 mm (7 7⁄8 in. to 10 5⁄8 in.) with a maximum single pass depth of 16.8 m (55 ft.) and a multi-pass depth of 85 m (280 ft.). The maximum bit loading capacity is 34,925 kg (77,000 lbs.).

Mast/Tower
The mast is constructed from structural plate steel and is raised using two hydraulic cylinders. It has a length of 22.9 m (75.0 ft.) and supports angle drilling from 0-30° in 5° increments.

Pipe Handling
The drill features a single-pass 2 pipe carousel for a total depth of 33.5 m (110 ft.) and a multi-pass 6 pipe rotary carousel for up to 85 m (280 ft.). It can handle pipe sizes up to 219 mm (8 5⁄8 in.) in diameter.

Rotary Head
The rotary head is powered by a 158 kW (212 hp) motor, providing a torque of 14.9 kN/m (11,000 ft-lbs) at 100 rpm and a variable speed of 200 rpm at 5,500 ft-lbs.

Feed System
The feed system uses a rack and pinion mechanism with a pulldown and hoisting force of 302 kN (67,900 lbf). The carriage speed can reach up to 48.0 m/min (157.5 ft/min).

Lower Works and Propel
The drill is equipped with B8 excavator-type crawlers, offering low and high propel speeds of 0-1.86 kph (0-1.16 mph) and 0-3.12 kph (0-1.94 mph) respectively. It maintains stability with a mast down at 15° (26%) and mast up at 9° (15%).

Air System
The rotary screw compressor provides a standard output of 56.6 m/min (2000 cfm) at 6.89 bar (100 psi), with optional outputs available.

Fluids/Maintenance
The drill features a standard fuel tank capacity of 1514 litres (400 gallons) and an optional capacity of 2366 litres (625 gallons). It includes a quick fluid service system and live oil sampling.

Power Unit
Powered by a Cummins QST30 diesel engine with a power rating of 783 kW (1050 hp), it also offers an electric option with ≥3-phase alternating current 6.3 kv.

Dust Control
Standard dust control features include dust curtains and a water injection system, with optional dry dust collectors available.

Overall Dimensions
The drill's overall width is 5.43 m (17 ft. 10 in.), with a height of 24.5 m (80 ft. 5 in.) when the mast is up.

General Features
The operator's cab is equipped with air suspension, HVAC, LED lighting, and a sound level rating of 62 dB(A) or less. Optional features include window shades, a microwave, and a deluxe trainer's seat.
