Technical Specifications:
MultiEx® 3D-A3 is a colorless, aqueous detergent with a pH value of 10.4 at 20°C. It has a flash point greater than 100°C and a VOC content of less than 20%. The detergent is easily soluble in water and should be applied pure at temperatures between 20 - 45°C. It should be stored in its original container at temperatures between 10 - 30°C. The product complies with GHS 07 classification and is in line with global regulations such as REACH, RoHS, and TSCA.
Functionality:
The detergent operates in three dimensions: removing flux, deoxidizing metal surfaces (especially copper and aluminum), and passivating metal surfaces. It is specifically designed for cleaning DCBs and power electronics.
Application and Suitability:
MultiEx® 3D-A3 is ideal for removing solder paste, flux, thermal compounds, and oxides. It is not recommended for adhesive/glue and coating/varnishing. The detergent is most effective when used with spray-in-air (PowerSpray®) systems, but is also suitable for spray-in-immersion, air-in-immersion (AirFlow®), and ultrasonic systems. Manual application is optional.
Usage Recommendations:
It is recommended to conduct cleaning tests to determine the optimal cleaner configuration. These tests can be performed at kolb's demonstration centers in Germany or China, or through local kolb partners.
Application Overview:
The detergent is suitable for cleaning solder frames, carriers, masks, ESD boxes, containers, magazines, condensation traps, filters, steel sheets, stencils, screens, misprints (bare boards), PCBAs, hybrids, power electronics, and misprints (mounted).
