The PPS flow monitor is designed for nominal pipe sizes greater than NW 32. It operates by deflecting a paddle with fluid flow, which moves a magnet holder to actuate a dry-reed switch. The device is available with N/O or N/C contact and should ideally be fitted in horizontal piping.

The switching point is determined by the paddle length, which is adjusted to the nominal pipe size by cutting at the paddle marking.
