KLINGERmetal is a sealing material designed to meet the demands of gasket joints and surrounding components. It features inserts made from carbon steel, stainless steel, or spring steel, with a thin elastomer coating on both sides (NBR or AEM). This design allows for precise sealing through engraved beads that ensure defined line-pressing.

Traditional soft-material sealing concepts rely on compressibility, which can lead to low residual stress and instability under high temperatures or loads. KLINGERmetal addresses these issues by preventing overload and customizing sealability through bead geometry and elastomer thickness.

Functionality
When mounted, KLINGERmetal gaskets deform to create a high line-load, even with low screw-force. The elastomer coating fills surface roughness for microsealing, while the bead adapts to uneven surfaces for macrosealing. The gasket compensates for changes in the sealing gap size.
