Product catalog summary
Overview: The document provides detailed information on the KLINGER Circular Slitting Saw, a versatile tool for manufacturing rings, collars, hoops, and bands with diameters ranging from 80 mm to 1250 mm. It highlights the equipment's operational procedures, practical tips, slitting routines, maintenance, and technical specifications.
Operational Procedures: To make the equipment operational, adjust the centring bolt to the desired size using the incorporated tape line. Insert the slitter substrate and set the slitting depth with the small hand wheel. Secure the setting with the counter nut and return the slitter height to its initial position.
Practical Tips: For circular features exceeding 750 mm in diameter, remove plate edges to facilitate turning. For features over 3 mm gauge, slit halfway, then turn the workpiece to complete from the opposite side.
Slitting Routines: Begin slitting operations by using the centring boring tapped into the small plate. Adjust the slitting depth based on the gauge and hardness of the plate. The ideal gauge is between 0.5 and 2.0 mm.
Maintenance: The circular slitter is disposable but can be reground or replaced. Regular greasing of the slitter drive shaft is recommended, with two nipples available for this purpose.
Technical Specifications: The equipment has a maximum length of 1,100 mm, height of 250 mm, width of 170 mm, and weight of 6.5 kg. It can handle circular features with a minimum diameter of approximately 80 mm and a maximum of 1,250 mm, with a slitting depth up to 9 mm.
Additional Resources: The document mentions additional resources such as product documentation, chemical resistance data, technical information via fax, sealing calculations software, and on-site advice for complex problems.

Making the equipment operational First adjust the centring bolt to the size of the required circular slitter. For this purpose, employ the incorporated tape line, by attaching it to the centring bolt. The set radius can be read off the slitter position. Insert the slitter substrate on the centring bolt and set the slitting depth on the small hand wheel © so that the slitter just cuts into the substrate but does not touch the counter roller in the rail. This setting should then to be secured with the counter nut. Thereafter, turn the slitter height back to the initial position. Slitting routines You...
