Filtering effi ciency 99,5% TECHNICAL DATA Filtering devices in welding processes APPLICATION UFO-N fi ltering units are applied for cleaning the air from dust and gas impurities arising during various production processes. They are irreplaceable in dry dust capturing (without aggressive pollutants or compounds creating explosion hazard) arising during the welding and other processes in chemical industry, food production, pharma- ceutical industry, plastic processing etc. The maximum temperature of the conveyed air should not exceed 60°C. Due to the automatically cleaned cartridge fi lters with the tefl on membrane, the dust parti- cles – even those which are smaller than 0.4 ìm - are being separated on the outer surface of the fi lter, where they should be periodically removed by means of the compressed air impulses. Following versions of UFO-N device are available: - mobile or wall-mounted - with one or two extraction arms. STRUCTURE Each UFO-N device consists of: - radial fan, - pre-fi lter capturing the large diameter dust - cartridge fi lter of polyester paper covered with a tefl on membrane - active carbon impregnated spunbond fi lter – absorption of the majority of existing vapour and gas sorts - pneumatic fi lter regeneration system - consisting of a compressed air tank and electromagnetic valves - control unit - to switch on the device and to control its function in automatic and manual mode - set of castors in the mobile version or a set of brackets in the wall mounting version UFO-N is adapted for installing the ERGO extraction arms of workrange 2, 3 or 4 metres and diameter 160mm (ERGO-L/Z-R). UFO-1 is adapted for attachment of one extraction arm, whereas UFO-2 for two extraction arms. USE After the device is switched on, the automation unit ensures the continuous function of the fan and at the same time regenerates the fi lters by means of the periodical compressed air impulses without the work interruption. Additional possibility is the offl ine fi lter cleaning, simply by manual pressing of the button to generate the compressed air impulse. There are following failure state alarms in the control unit: - too low pressure of the compressed air (below 6 bar) - improper phase connection of the motor The fi lter maintenance consists in following activities: - periodical cleaning of the pre-fi lter from the deposited dust (every several weeks) - periodical replacement of the carbon spunbond fi lter (every several months) - periodical replacement of the cartridge fi lter (every 1-2 years) UFO-1-MN UFO-2-MN
