80 UFO-4-M/N Filtering devices in welding processes Application The UFO-4-M fi ltering unit is applied for cleaning the dust laden air from impurities arising during the manufacturing processes. It is irreplaceable in capturing the dry dust (without caustic pollutants or compounds creating explosive conditions or fi re haz- ard) formed during welding, grinding the non-sparking materials, gas metal cutting and other processes in chemical-, pharma- ceutical-, plastic industry, food production etc. The maximum temperature of the conveyed air is 60°C. The appliances are equipped with cartridge fi lters with a tefl on membrane, fi ltering by surface, capturing even small dust parti- cles, of diameter smaller than 0,4ìm. Structure The device consists of a fi ltering chamber (UFO-4-M/N-1), of two fi ltering chambers (UFO-4-M/N-2) or of three fi ltering chambers (UFO-4-M/N-3) – placed vertically one on top of another. On the fi ltering chamber is installed a fan assembly and a silencer. The fi ltering chamber is based on a four-leg-base equipped with a hopper and a waste container. – UFO-4-M/N-1 – consists of 1 fi ltering chamber and a fan of volume fl ow 5000 m³/h. – UFO-4-M/N-2 – consists of 2 fi ltering chambers and a fan of volume fl ow 10000 m³/h – UFO-4-M/N-3 – consists of 3 fi ltering chambers and a fan of volume fl ow 15000 m³/h. Each fi ltering chamber is divided vertically in two spaces: – chamber of fi lters – there are four self-cleaning cartridge fi lters with a tefl on membrane (fi ltration effi ciency 99,9%) – chamber of electromagnetic valves – containing the compressed air tank supplied from the external installation of pressure 0,6–0,8 MPa and four electromagnetic valves for fi lter regeneration by the impulses of compressed air). The fi lter regeneration is proceeding automatically. The UFO-4-M/N is equipped with subsequent connections: – Inlet connection Ø500 mm – (on each fi ltering chamber), as standard it is located on the right side of the device when viewing on the fi ltering chamber. It is possible to swap the side walls in such a way that the inlet is on the left side. – Outlet connection 400x400 mm as outlet from the silencer. The outlet can be connected to the discharge installation or in case of a direct air discharge into the process room – it is recommended to attach an additional silencer with a set of connection fi ttings (bend and reducer) to the 400x400 outlet. To the device is fastened a control unit to control with the fan function and with the pneumatic fi lter regeneration system. There can be additional accessories delivered on a separate order as: - separator type SEP designed for pre-fi ltering the air in cases of high dustiness. UFO-4-M/N-2 UFO-4-M/N-1 UFO-4-M/N-3
