Product catalog summary
Punched Rivet System Overview
The Tuk-Rivet® system is a punch riveting method using a solid rivet to join elements such as semi-finished products, sheets, profiles, and cast components. The process involves clamping workpieces to a bottom die with a hold-down device, then punching with a solid Tuk-Rivet that also acts as a blanking die. The compressive force applied shapes the material into the peripheral shank groove of the Tuk-Rivet, ensuring a secure connection.

Applications
The Tuk-Rivet is ideal for quickly producing connections in thin metal moldings with high load capacity. It is suitable for joining aluminum to steel, rustproof and acid-proof sheet steels, and aluminum to sheet steels, with a minimum lower sheet thickness of 0.9 mm.

Advantages
  • Eliminates corrosion problems and reduces installation costs.
  • Suitable for pre-treated parts and light alloy sheets.
  • Environmentally friendly with no additional work stages required.
  • Can be integrated into existing production lines without needing a separate workplace.

Product Characteristics
The Tuk-Rivet is made from rust and acid-proof material or steel, designed for highly load-resistant riveted joints in thin section components. It is available in various finishes, including hardened and tempered steel, with zinc/nickel plating and transparent passivation.

Specifications
The Tuk-Rivet system adheres to ISO 2768 tolerances, with article numbers indicating specific dimensions and finishes. The rivets accommodate total sheet thicknesses ranging from 1.8 mm to 7.5 mm, with a minimum lower sheet thickness of 0.9 mm.

Tuk-Rivet® Punched rivet system-1

… technologies for a reliable hold Tuk-Rivet® Punched rivet system The process Punch riveting with a solid rivet permits one or more joined elements such as semi-finished product types, sheet, profile and cast components to be fastened together. During this process, the workpieces are clamped to the bottom die by the hold-down device. They are then punched by the solid Tuk-Rivet that acts at the same time as the blanking die. When the stop-point is reached both the hold-down device and rivet punch are flush with the workpiece surface. As a result of the compressive force applied by the rivet punch and the hold-down device the shape of the bottom die forces material into the peripheral shank groove in the Tuk-Rivet. This acts against the flow of material generated by the rivet punch and hold-down device.
