Dual Lock Valves

Product catalog summary
Company Overview: Kepner Products Company, established in 1948, specializes in innovative zero leakage control valves for liquid and gas applications. Customers are advised to consult the factory or distributor for product selection and are responsible for ensuring proper installation and maintenance.
Product Description - Dual Lock Valves: These valves integrate two Kepsel Cartridge Check Valves with a pilot piston shuttle for reliable cylinder locking in both directions. They allow free flow in one direction while enabling reverse flow by piloting open the opposite check valve. When pressure is removed, both check valves close to prevent reverse flow, ensuring load stability.
Features and Benefits:
  • Zero leak seal locking with Flexible Seal Seat for bubble-tight security.
  • Surge flow protection via calibrated pilot orifice.
  • Minimal pilot loss due to pressure balancing grooves on the pilot piston.
  • Basic pilot ratio of 3:1.
  • Constructed with a high-strength, lightweight aluminum body.
  • Equipped with mounting holes for easy installation.
Specifications:
  • End Connections/Ports: Available in 1/4 inch to 3/4 inch NPTF or SAE tube.
  • Materials: Aluminum body, steel valve module, stainless pilot piston, steel port caps.
  • Seals: Teflon® for internal check valves, Buna N for cylinder port caps.
  • Temperature Range: -40°F to 300°F (-40°C to 149°C), dependent on O-Ring material.
  • Operating Pressure: Up to 3000 PSI (207 bar).
  • Flow Capacity: Up to 40 GPM (151 LPM).

Dual Lock Valves-1

Flexible SealSeat These rugged valves combine two Kepsel Cartridge Check Valves with close fitting pilotpiston shuttle to offer dependable cylinder locking in both directions. They permit free flow from valve port to cylinder port (or to portion of circuit) through one check valve while at the same time piloting open the check valve on the other side to allow reverse flow. When pressure at the valve ports is removed both check valves close and lock against movement in either direction by preventing reverse flow. Kepner's provides positive bubble-tight locking to prevent load drift or circuit creep.Standard and specialty valve designs handle a wide variety of applications, and are com- monly used with double acting cylinders for position locking and for holding against line rupture or control valve leakage. > ensures zero leak (bubble-tight) seal locking both sides > Surge flow protected with calibrated pilot orifice > Close fitting pilot piston with pressure balancing grooves for minimal pilot loss > Basic pilot ratio 3:1 > High strength, light weight aluminum body > ounting holes for installation > End Connections/Ports: 1/4 inch to 3/4 inch NPTF or SAE tube > Body: Aluminum; Valve Module: Steel; Pilot Piston: Stainless; Port Caps: Steel > O-Ring Seals: Teflon(internal check valves), Buna N (cylinder port caps) > Temperature: -40F to 300аF (-40C to 149аC), O-Ring dependent > Flow: to 40 GPM (151 LPM) > Consult Factory or Distributor for more help.
