Installation and Care for Kep-O-seal Inline Valves
Kep-O-seal valves require careful handling and installation to ensure zero leakage and trouble-free service. Key installation tips include:
  • Install valves with the flow arrow pointing in the direction of flow.
  • Handle valves carefully to avoid damaging precision threads.
  • Ensure pipe, tubing, and valve ends are clean to prevent contaminants from causing leakage.
  • Use pipe dope carefully on male threads to avoid fouling valve seats.
  • Provide proper support to prevent strain and distortion from sagging pipes.
  • Avoid shock surges and vibration to prevent stress on internal components.
  • Verify the valve model, material, O-Ring, and spring setting to meet specific requirements.
Consult the factory or distributor for additional assistance.

Our unique Flexible Seal Seat௣ assures bubble-tight performance. The Kepner Flexible Seal Seat௣ design offers positive leakage control of liquid or gas. The seat design is a carefully engineered combination of metal-to-metal and resilient O-Ring seal contact. The O-Ring is securely retained at the seat rather than on the poppet, protecting it from the destructive abrading and blasting effect of the flow; seal life is extended. Seat “wire drawing” common to conventional valves has been eliminated by the Flexible Seal Seat௣ design. The seal closes around scratches, dents, and other irregularities...
