Kingdom Street, Paddington In 2016 Kent Stainless were heavily involved in this project with a wide range of products – the area is joined onto Sheldon Square which we had completed 2 years earlier. The main feature was a Curved 3 Tier Amphitheatre Seat made from stainless steel clad with European Oak and coated with Danish Oil. Other areas required smaller versions of this seat – and while USB charge points were incorporated in them all, one seat had a hinged opening to conceal 16a and 32a IP67 rated power connections. Battersea Power Station A huge redevelopment of Battersea Power Station commenced in 2013. Of this 39 acre site, Kent Stainless were involved in the riverfront area called Circus West Village. In 2016 Kent Stainless were commissioned to manufacture The Kent Swivel Kidney Seat, Rectangular Corten Planters, Seats, Stairway Ventilation Grilles, Lettering and Corten Bicycle Stands. The products produced by Kent Stainless were manufactured with Grade 316 Stainless, using Iroko Timber and some products (planters and cycle stands) were made from Corten Steel. 5 Broadgate In 2015 Kent were involved in supplying the redevelopment of 5 Broadgate in London. This is a 12 storey building, 67,000 sqm with a large investment in the surrounding public realm enhancement. Kent Stainless supplied Civils Drainage Channels with Pedestrian Heelmesh Grating, Angle Frame Tree Pits, Slot Drainage, Manholes, Powder Coated Handrail and Load Bearing Recessed Tree Pits.

Bromley In 2014, Kent stainless was involved in a large project in North Bromley, London. The aim of the project was to revitalize the area of Bromley through public realm improvements and the creation of safe, usable walkways for pedestrians in the area. After a £5m investment from the Lord Mayor’s Outer Fund and the London Borough of Bromley, Kent Stainless were commissioned to develop an attractive range of street furniture. Products supplied included Powder Coated Planters to match the street lights, Cafe WindBreaks, Cycle Stands, Coffin Bollards, and Paver Edging.

Dublin Docklands In 2002 one of our largest contracts at the time was to design, manufacture and install customised serpentine benches from grade 316 stainless steel, Kent Madrid benches from Uba Tuba granite and stainless steel, 250m of balustrade and uplighter support poles for the Dublin Docklands Development Authority. Kent Stainless have worked on the hard landscaping at various Aldi stores in Ireland from 2010 onwards. Images here come from stores at Wexford, New Ross, Celbridge, Edenderry and Castletory in Limerick showing Bollards, Cycle Racks, Trolley Bays and a large version of our Kent Dundrum Shelter to cover the trolleys.

Right at the base of the Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Opera House is situated having opened in 2017. From 2016 onwards Kent Stainless supplied In Ground Power Units to this site, followed by Burj Island, Bluewaters and Dubai Canal. Our Heelproof Civils Mesh Gratings were chosen by Cleveland Clinic in Abu Dhabi. Finally in 2017 our Tactile Warning Studs were installed at Dubai Design District (D3).

In 2016 and 2017 Kent commenced manufacturing of Hostile Vehicle Mitigation products. These sites remain confidential but products shown here are from projects in London, UK Midlands and Qatar. A foundation of only 200mm are used and PAS68 Rating for 7500kg @ 40mph / 64kph can be achieved. Supplied items include PAS68 Planters, Pole Mounted Litter Bins, 10” Stainless Steel Bollards and Powder Coated Square Bollards.

Wembley Stadium and Aviva Stadium In 2007 Kent designed a Hidden Lock Socket that would eliminate the need for a flip lid and padlock. The result was a socket with a heelproof 6mm slot allowing our 3mm thick bollard sit into it discreetly. It was first used for Wembley Stadium London and the same design went on in 2013 to be used in The Lansdowne Road Aviva Stadium in Dublin. Kent Hidden Lock Sockets with Kent Wembley Bollards.

Battersea Reach & Albion Riverside In 2006 Kent Stainless worked on two neighbouring sites – Albion Riverside and Battersea Reach. We designed the extra strong flat bar Albion Cycle Stand with a recessed cycle symbol and the Shear Type Bollards designed to break at minimal impact and re-attach on thereby not damaging the cars that might impact on them. Later in 2015 we supplied a customised Dry Riser Cabinet / Intercom Post and Kent Swoosh Studs anti skate deterrents.

Broadgate Circle Broadgate Circle is a 30 acre fully managed estate in the centre of the city, now includes 16 separate buildings covering 4 million square feet. Broadgate Circle is set to be the “must go to” leisure location for events and restaurants within the City of London. In 2015 Kent Stainless worked on developing the extra shallow In Ground Power Units – 10 of which were delivered to site. The power units had the regular IP67 32a sockets, but also some 240v 3 pin UK plugs for infra red terrace heaters to be used on colder evenings for the outside diners. This site also took...

London Bridge Station London Bridge Station is one of the busiest underground stations in London and underwent a £1bn redevelopment from 2013 onwards. In 2016 Kent Stainless supplied the retail concourse areas with Kent Precint Channel with a neat outside edge. The grating used was 125mm wide Kent Pedestrian Heelmesh 9mm Grating all in grade 316 Stainless Steel. As the surrounding areas were being paved Kent also supplied Kent Tactile Warning Studs at the pedestrian crossings to match the products supplied to the Shard project nearby.
