HM E Series

Product catalog summary
Description
The HM E Series turbine flow meters are designed for measuring both continuous and discontinuous flow rates, suitable for low and medium viscosity liquids such as water, emulsions, glycol mixtures, and light oils. They are constructed from high-grade steels and tungsten carbide bearings, ensuring durability and accuracy even in harsh conditions. The meters are adaptable for various applications including metering, monitoring, mixing, and dosing.

Principle and Design
The turbine flow meters operate on the Woltmann impeller counter principle, using the average flow velocity to measure flow rate. The turbine wheel's speed, proportional to flow velocity, is measured by a sensor. Each meter is calibrated in-house, considering the customer's specified operating viscosity, and comes with a calibration certificate.

Applications
These meters are used in consumption measurement, filling processes, dosing systems, mixing plants, test stands, and for various fluids including water, oils, fuels, coolants, additives, solvents, pharmaceutical liquids, and cryogenic fluids.

Features
The HM E Series offers high measuring accuracy up to ±0.1%, exceptional repeatability of ±0.05%, short response times, and robust carbide bearings. They can operate within a temperature range of -60 °C to +350 °C and withstand pressures up to 630 bar.

Technical Data
The meters have a measuring accuracy of ±0.1%, repeatability of ±0.05%, and a linearity of ±1% of actual flow. They cover a viscosity range of 0.8 to 30 mm²/s and are made from materials like DIN 1.4404 and DIN 1.4460. The calibration is performed using high-precision systems, ensuring traceability to national standards.

Calibration
Calibration is conducted in-house using volumetric calibration rigs or DAkkS calibration laboratories. The calibration factor (K-factor) is determined for each meter, ensuring accuracy across different flow rates. The calibration process accounts for changes in operating conditions such as density and viscosity.

Turbine Flow Meters – HM E Series The HM E turbine flow meter series (E for Ermeto Fittings) is used to measure continuous and discontinuous flow rates. They are mainly used for lubrication and non-lubrication media. They are particularly suitable for low and medium viscosity liquids, such as water, emulsions, glycol mixtures and light oils. Even the measurement of cryogenic fluids is possible. • Consumption measurement Only high-grade steels that can withstand corrosive liquids are used in the production of turbine flow meters. Combined with the use of tungsten carbide bearings, the HM E guarantees...
