1. Electromagnetic Chucks - Model KESL (Horizontal Pitch Type)

Applications

• Versatile use for holding both thin and thick workpieces during grinding and light-duty cutting.
• Particularly suited for long workpieces and high-volume buff and belt grinding operations.

Features

• Close pole pattern arranged longitudinally.
• Wide spacing of N-S magnetic force lines allows effective holding via belts.
• Powerful holding force with a low profile height.
• Not ideal for small workpieces distributed over the entire surface due to non-uniform holding power.
• Requires an external chuck controller (not included).

Note: Chuck controllers and clamp parts are sold separately. Optimal performance is achieved using KANETEC controllers.

2. Electromagnetic Chucks - Model KETW-N (Micropitch Type)

Applications

• Designed for holding thin workpieces longer than 80 mm (3.15 inches) in grinding and cutting operations.
• Workpieces should be oriented longitudinally.

Features

• Suitable for grinding and cutting thin workpieces.
• Permanent magnetic micropitch chucks are recommended for very small and thin workpieces (see Model RMWH).
• Includes side stopper only; back stopper not included.
• Requires an external chuck controller (not included).

3. General Recommendations and Notes

• For applications where magnetic force adjustment is not required, the ES-M series is recommended.
• KANETEC chuck controllers are recommended for optimal performance and are sold separately.
• Permanent magnetic micropitch chucks are better suited for very small and thin workpieces.
• Side stoppers are included with some models; back stoppers may need to be purchased separately.
