Overview: This document provides technical specifications and operational guidelines for a motor control module designed for brush sticking direct current (DC) motors operating at 24VDC. The module is suitable for snap-fit installation on DIN rails EN 50022 and EN 50035.
Specifications:- Input Circuit: Nominal voltage is 24VDC with a nominal voltage range of 19VDC to 35VDC. Input current at nominal voltage is 10mA, indicated by yellow and red LEDs.
- Output Circuit: The module supports switching voltages from 15V to 35VDC with a maximum rated load current of 3A. The opening time is adjustable between 0.5 to 2.0 seconds, and current control is adjustable from 0.4A to 4A. It features dynamic braking and can handle an impulse current of 20A for 20 milliseconds.
- Environmental and Safety: Operates within an ambient temperature range of -20°C to +50°C. It includes overload protection and complies with VDE regulations 0110 and 0160. The module is vibration resistant from 10 to 500Hz.
- Physical Characteristics: The module has dimensions of 17.5mm x 114.5mm x 99mm and uses a spring-type terminal connection.
Functional Description: The module protects motors from excessive currents, particularly in locking situations. If the motor current exceeds the set threshold, the module will switch off the motor after a preset time, using dynamic braking. A fixed delay of approximately 300ms prevents premature current evaluation during motor acceleration. The module can be reset via specific signals at terminals A1, A2, or A3. A red LED indicates excess current shutdown, and the I-out signal outputs +24VDC until reset.
Applications: The module is versatile, suitable for protecting materials and tools, and can replace mechanical reversing relays by deactivating current monitoring. It is applicable in scenarios like locking drive belts, conveyor belts, and preventing excessive pressure on equipment.
