Superior Cooling Design Standard units are air-cooled (water-cooling is an option). Coolers are conveniently located on the outside of the unit. Dust and dirt build-up is easily seen and removed without dismantling the coolers. Three separate cooling air inlet zones for the coolers, compressor, and drive motor ensure optimum performance. Drawing ambient air directly across the coolers and motor through separate zones avoids preheating and results in lower approach temperatures, longer lubricant life, and cooler motor temperatures. Options Water-Cooled Standard units are air-cooled, but water-cooling is available. Sigma Frequency Control All DSD units are available with optional SFC drive. This provides the ultimate in part-load efficiency and stable pressure (within +/- 1psig). Kaeser uses Siemens’ variable frequency controls for reliability and maximum efficiency.
