The Kaelus MI-168 is designed to enhance cell uplink coverage in 1800 and 2600 systems by improving the system noise figure, which helps reduce operational and capital expenditure. Key features include improved base station sensitivity, four antenna ports, excellent noise figure performance, full AISG operation, and RET antenna support. The unit is small and lightweight to minimize visual impact.
- Downlink: Passband ranges from 1805-1880MHz for 1800 and 2620-2690MHz for 2600, with a typical insertion loss of 0.5dB and 0.4dB respectively. Maximum input power is 200W.
- Uplink: Passband ranges from 1710-1785MHz for 1800 and 2500-2570MHz for 2600, with a nominal gain of 12dB and a typical noise figure of 1.5dB.
- Electrical: Impedance is 50 Ohms, with AISG mode auto-selected on valid AISG 2.0 frames. Power consumption in AISG mode is less than 4W.
The unit operates within a temperature range of -40ºC to +65ºC and has an ingress protection rating of IP67. It complies with EMC: EN 301 489-8 and Safety: IEC/EN 62368-1 standards.
The dimensions are 224 x 109 x 209 mm, and it weighs 6.9kg. It is finished with a powder coat and can be mounted using a pole/wall bracket.
Various configurations are available, including different connector types and AISG modes. Part numbers range from MI-16801 to MI-16836, with options for common or independent AISG modes.
