The Kaelus MI-160 is designed to enhance cell uplink coverage in 2100 and 2600 systems by improving the system noise figure, which helps reduce operational and capital expenditure. Technical Specifications
  • Downlink: Passband for 2100 is 2110-2170MHz and for 2600 is 2620-2690MHz with typical insertion loss of 0.30dB and 0.35dB respectively. Return loss is a minimum of 18dB, and maximum input power is 200W.
  • Uplink: Passband for 2100 is 1920-1980MHz and for 2600 is 2500-2570MHz with a nominal gain of 12dB. Return loss is a minimum of 16dB, with bypass return loss at 12dB minimum. Typical noise figure is 1.3dB for 2100 and 1.4dB for 2600.
  • Electrical: Impedance is 50 Ohms.
Power Supply and Alarm
The default operating mode is the Current Window Alarm mode, configurable to customer requirements. The DC supply voltage ranges from +9 to +15V DC, with a normal mode current of 165mA at 12V and a maximum of 320mA in alarm mode.
AISG Mode of Operation
The TMA unit switches to AISG mode when valid AISG 2.0 frames are detected. It operates with a DC supply voltage of 24V DC nominal and consumes less than 4W in AISG mode.
Environmental Specifications
The device operates within a temperature range of -40ºC to +65ºC and has an ingress protection rating of IP67. It offers lightning protection and has a mean time between failures (MTBF) of over 1,000,000 hours.

The MI-160 complies with EMC: EN 301 489-8, Safety: EN 60950, and various ETSI standards for operation, storage, and transport.
Mechanical Specifications
The dimensions are 175 x 107 x 153 mm, and it weighs 4.6kg. It is powder-coated and can be mounted using pole/wall brackets.
