Continuous Chemical Recycling Technology by TEX - 1

LEAFLET Continuous Chemical Recycling Technology by TEX The Japan Steel Works, Ltd. Plastics Machinery Business Division The downstream cooler condenses the chemical gas into liquid monomer. Superior monomer quality can be obtained through a TEX continuous production. Outline To realize a sustainable society, recycling of plastic product is one of the most important issues. One of the recycling methods is “chemical recycling”: a method of chemically decomposing and reusing plastics as chemical products. JSW offers the continuous chemical recycling process of plastics using TEX twin screw extruder. Configuration Figure1 show an example recycling process using TEX. Crashed waste plastics Cooling H&C Vent port Twin Screw Extruder (TEX) ■Stable feeding It is important to have a technology to feed various form of material to TEX continuously. The combination of gravimetric feeders and feed pumps can comply with the process requirement. The specially designed screw configuration and the precise barrel temperature control ensure continuous and stable depolymerization. Japan Steel Works, Ltd.
