PURGE WELD CHAMBERS FEATURES Purge weld chambers use the positive purge principle and incorporate an effective gas diffuser to permit rapid displacement of the contaminating atmosphere. Each chamber is supplied with a flowmeter that controls the rate of flow of the purge gas to the chamber. The ball check valve, mounted on top of the dome, exhausts the contaminated atmosphere as the inert gas flows into the chamber.
