UltraLite Lance The complete line of Jet Edge Hand Lances meet the demanding challenges of waterjet cleaning applications. They have proven their superior performance on the toughest jobs ranging from industrial cleaning and coating removal to surface preparation and hydrodemolition at pressures up to 36,000 psi (2500 bar). These versatile, efficient tools, quickly and easily remove corrosion, spray residue, soluble salt, chemicals, and surface damage prior to re-coating or painting. Hazardous airborne dust contamination and waste disposal - common problems when using other cleaning methods - are eliminated. The Ultra-Lite Lance is a hand-held tool that directs ultra-high pressure (UHP) water for cutting, stripping, and cleaning. Typical applications are surface preparation for painting, stripping corrosion and overspray residue, and removing grease and oil from soiled surfaces. Water is supplied to the Lance from a Jet Edge Ultra-High Pressure UHP intensifier pump capable of producing up to 36,000 psi (2500 bar) of water pressure. The water is extruded through an orifice to produce a concentrated stream for cutting, or through a fan-shaped outlet for surface stripping and cleaning. The fan tip can be rotated 360° for precise aiming of the water stream. Water flow is controlled by a hand-squeeze trigger. The trigger shifts a spring-loaded plunger that normally keeps a poppet-style valve closed. When the plunger is shifted the poppet opens and water flows to the cutting head. The UltraLite Lance minimizes operator fatigue during vertical and overhead applications because it is easily held in a natural horizontal position. Interchangeable extension tubes and handles are available. Standard Features The UltraLite Lance is supplied with a 36-inch (91mm) extension tube as standard length.
