Application Specifications

The primary film undergoes controlled cooling before passing through a longitudinal stretching machine. Here, the film is stretched in the machine direction by driven rollers operating at varying speeds. In the transverse stretching machine, the film is gripped by clips and stretched in width with applied heat. The system must handle cross loads up to 3,500 N per clip and withstand temperatures between 100 to 250°C at production speeds of 100 to 500 m/min, depending on output and film thickness.

In the following transverse stretching machine, the film is gripped by clips on both sides and stretched in width with heat applied. Cross loads up to 3,500 N per clip can occur. Material and bearings have to withstand temperatures in the range of 100 to 250°C at production speeds between 100 and 500m/min according to output and film thickness.
