This document provides technical specifications and ordering information for in-line vacuum connectors, specifically insulation inserts designed for use on the vacuum side of electrical connectors.

Product Description

The insulation inserts are compatible with plugs of diameter 1.6 mm (0.063 inch) and are intended to maintain insulation integrity under vacuum conditions.

Dimensions and Pin Configurations

The inserts come in various sizes defined by the number of pins and corresponding dimensions labeled as φA, φB, and C. Dimensions are provided in both millimeters and inches for clarity.

• Pin counts range from 4 to 48 pins.
• Dimension examples include:
• 4 pins: φA = 14.7 mm (0.579"), φB = 14.7 mm (0.579")
• 10 pins: φA = 21.1 mm (0.831"), φB = 21.1 mm (0.831")
• 24 pins: φA = 32.1 mm (1.264"), φB = 32.1 mm (1.264")
• 48 pins: φA = 49.4 mm (1.995"), φB = 45.5 mm (1.791")

Materials and Operating Temperatures

The insulation inserts are available in three material types, each with specific operating temperature ranges:

• PK (PEEK): -55°C to +250°C
• TE (PTFE): -55°C to +260°C
• AM (Alumina): -55°C to +1000°C

Connector Compatibility

The inserts are compatible with two main connector types:

• MS connectors
• Burndy/Souriau connectors

Ordering codes include material type, number of pins, and connector type, for example: REM-PK-04P-MS.

When ordering, specify:

• Number of pins
• Material (PK, TE, AM)
• Connector type (MS or BU for Burndy/Souriau)
