Die Dosierung erfolgt z. B. über Dosierschnecken, Zellenradschleusen oder Dosierrinnen. Die Sackentleerkabine kann auch auf Silos, Mischer etc. aufgesetzt werden zur Entleerung im freien Fall. Die vollen Säcke werden, nachdem die Tür geöffnet wurde, manuell auf den Auflagetisch gelegt, geöffnet und dann entleert. Über einen Aspirationsstutzen wird die Kabine besaugt. Ein Gitterblech innerhalb der Kabine verhindert, dass der entleerte Sack in den Auslauftrichter fallen kann. Wahlweise kann der leere Sack über eine seitliche Öffnung der Kabine einem nachgeschalteten Leersackverdichter zugeführt werden. Im Anschluss daran beginnt ein neuer Arbeitsvorgang.
