Construction and Operating PrincipleThe pump consists of a pinion (drive gear) and an internal gear (driven gear) supported by bearings. Liquid is transferred by changes in the capacity of the meshed portion of the gears. The suction process involves gear disengagement and space expansion, while the discharge process involves gear meshing and space reduction to force out the liquid.
