SpectraDIL - 014

Product catalog summary
Overview: The SpectraDIL - 014 series offers standard program setting switches designed for applications requiring 'end stacking' of multiple switches without missing a pitch. The series features large numerals, actuators, and EIA color-coded sliders with open access. The base is sealed for flow soldering, and for immersion washing, the 023 series is recommended. The switches have a 1µm hard gold-plated wiping contact for high reliability in low-level circuits.
Specifications:
  • Contact Ratings: Non-switching: 100Vac, 5A; Switching: 1µV to 100V, 1µA to 1A up to 10VA.
  • Initial Contact Resistance: Typical: 10mΩ, Max: 20mΩ.
  • Insulation Resistance: 10,000MΩ at 500Vdc min.
  • Dielectric Strength: 500Vrms 50Hz for 1 minute.
  • Capacitance: < 1pf at 1KHz between open contacts.
  • Temperature Range: -55˚C to +100˚C for continuous electrical use and manual operation.
  • Humidity: BS 2011 Test Ca: 56 days.
  • Mechanical Life: Standard deviation of resistance change is usually < 1mΩ for the first 1000 closures; mechanical wear observed after 10,000 operations.
Performance Tests:
  • Bump: No contact interruptions > 1µs during 4000 bumps at 390m/s² (40g).
  • Acceleration: No contact interruptions > 1µs during test at 980 m/s² (100g).
  • Vibration: No contact interruptions > 1µs during test at 147m/s² (15g) or 1.0mm displacement amplitude.
  • Shock: No contact interruptions > 1µs during test at 980 m/s² (100g).
Soldering: Solderability: < 2 seconds to wet at 235˚C as per IEC 68 and BS 2011 Test T. Resistance to soldering heat: 10 seconds satisfactory at 260˚C when mounted on 1.5mm PCB.
Product Variants:
  • SDS Series: Single Pole Single Throw (s.p.s.t) with lengths ranging from 3.1mm to 25.2mm.
  • SDC Series: Single Pole Double Throw (s.p.d.t) with lengths ranging from 5.0mm to 25.2mm.
  • SDD Series: Double Pole Single Throw (d.p.s.t) with lengths ranging from 5.0mm to 25.2mm.
Note: BS 2011 has been superseded by BS EN 60068.
