Technical Information
  • Description: The Series 57 is a range of miniature, momentary action, rugged panel sealed push-button switches with a round button and bezel. Available with or without LED status illumination, it is made from non-spark zinc alloy and velour chrome plated, designed for harsh environments.
  • Mechanical: Travel is 2.3mm, life expectancy is 1,000,000 cycles, operating force is 3N, and contact bounce is 1ms. Maximum panel thickness is 3mm.
  • Electrical: Dielectric strength is 1000V a.c., insulation resistance is 1GΩ, and contact resistance is 50mΩ. Current ratings vary with voltage, and the switch has a minimum life of 500,000 cycles.
  • Switch & LED: LED forward voltage ranges from 2.2V to 3.0V with a forward current of 20mA. Meantime between failures is 100,000 hours. Luminous intensity is 100mcd for red and 160mcd for green LEDs.
  • Environmental & Physical: Ingress protection is IP67, shock resistance is 100g, and vibration conforms to DEF STD 07-55. Operating temperature ranges from -40°C to +125°C for non-illuminated and -35°C to +85°C for illuminated versions.
