Product catalog summary
Introduction
The Cannon CA-Bayonet series connectors are engineered according to VG95234 specifications, providing robust solutions for harsh environments. Initially designed for aircraft, they are now used in various industrial and military applications. These connectors feature a reverse bayonet coupling for enhanced vibration protection and are waterproof up to IP69K standards.
Specifications
Constructed from aluminum alloy with an olive drab chromate coating over cadmium plating, alternative finishes include zinc cobalt and zinc nickel, which are RoHS compliant. The connectors support up to 65 circuits and a maximum current of 245 A, operating within a temperature range of -55°C to 125°C, and are resistant to various fuels and fluids.
Technical Data
Contact and insulation resistance are tested per VG95234 standards. Suitable for an operating voltage of 50 V, higher voltage options are available upon request. Designed for single wire harnessing, they offer options for full environmental sealing.
Mechanical Features
These connectors withstand vibrations up to 200 m/s² and have a minimum of 500 mating cycles. They feature a bayonet coupling for easy mating and unmating, with audible and visual indicators for secure connections.
Mounting and Dimensions
Mounting holes are specified for various styles and sizes, compatible with VG95234 and CA series connectors, with detailed dimensions provided for accurate installation.
Conclusion
The Cannon CA-Bayonet series offers versatile and durable solutions for demanding applications, exceeding VG95234 and MIL-C-5015 standards, ensuring reliability in harsh environments.
