By using photocatalytic oxidation by means of a UV lamp in combination with a photocatalytic cell, the air is effectively cleaned without the use of filters, for which no strong air flow is required so that the device can do its work in complete silence. The sterilizing effect of these oxidants does not only apply in the air, also on the surfaces in the room such as tables, desks, door handles, keyboards will decrease the number of microorganisms after deployment of the RAS-60.
