ISCAR’s new FDN-XN13 cutters carry XNMU 130608PNM-MM patent pending configuration inserts. XNMU 130608PNM-MM is a robust double-sided square insert, featuring 8 (4 right-hand, and 4 left-hand) helical cutting edges and unique twisted upper and bottom surfaces. Cutting data • Cutting speed – refer to ISCAR recommendations for carbide grades • Feed per tooth varies from 0.08 to 0.25 mm/tooth depending on workpiece material, operation stability and radial depth of cut. Generally, the starting values should be set within a 0.1-0.15 mm/tooth range, and be adjusted in accordance with the results.
