ISCAR has expanded its line of 3 flute, solid carbide endmills designed for machining aluminum. The new additions include endmills with chip splitting flutes and a central coolant hole, enhancing performance in roughing and semi-finishing operations.

Specifications
The ECAP-H3-CF endmills feature a CHATTERFREE variable pitch and central coolant holes, which help in breaking aluminum into short chips and flushing them away. These tools are available in diameters of 10, 12, 16, and 20 mm, with cutting edge lengths of 1.5 and 2xD for each diameter, and neck reliefs of 4 and 5 times D.

Performance and Applications
These endmills are designed for both roughing and semi-finishing operations, offering excellent chatter dampening and efficient chip evacuation. They are suitable for use with internal coolant at high cutting speeds, particularly for full slot shoulder machining, and can ramp into material at a 5º angle. They are ideal for low power machines with ISO40 or BT40 adaptations, improving material removal rates and reducing cycle times.
