Model 295 BALANCING COMPUTER of precision balancing at low speeds down to 30 rpm. The display can be set to show digital or polar format and gives clear onscreen indication when the rotor being balanced is within or outside specified tolerance. Balancing reports can be customised by the user and the unit has USB ports and LAN connectivity to facilitate printing of reports or storage and retrieval of records. The Model 295 is the latest Balancing Computer from IRD and replaces the very successful Model 290 which was first launched in 1990 and has become an ‘industry standard’ in many workshops around the world. The Model 295 employs IRD’s unique synchronous digital averaging tracking filter technology and utilises Windows®7 user interface with colour touch-screen. The unit is very easy to use and has onscreen keyboard and prompts to guide users through the balancing process. The Model 295 provides high measurement accuracy and is capable The Model 295 can balance in single or dual plane mode, can be set to imperial or metric units and to English or Spanish language. Tolerances can be user defined or reference ISO, API or MIL-SPEC standards and features include tooling error compensation, keyway compensation and vector splitting. The unit can balance using the trial weight method or operate in onerun mode for balancing machines fitted with auto-calibrators. The Model 295 is an ideal choice for new balancing machine systems and represents a direct ‘plug-in’ replacement for IRD Model 290, 236 or 246 Instruments. It can also be used improve the performance and upgrade other balancing machines.
