R The leader in active fiber devices. The YLM Series of 5W, 10W, 20W, and 50WCWYtterbium Fiber Lasers were designed formaintenance-free OEM applications. The YLM diode-pumped fiber laser delivers a dif- fraction limited (M > 2 <1.1) 1.07micron laser beam directly to the work site via a metal-sheathed single mode fiber cable terminated by a collimator. These compact service-free lasers are designed to operate under high shock, vibration and dust conditions, with relative humidities up to 90% and temperatures ranging from -20 > o C to +60 > o C. The factory sealed YLM Series lasers can be built directly into micromachining, engraving,cutting, materials processing and product marking systems with no need for after-installa- tion service. YLM Series lasers do not need routine replacement parts or materials; they require only a low-voltage power source. Wall-plug efficiencies up to 25% (and higher) result in a compact size, reduced utilities, and trouble-free air cooling. Fiber-to-fiber archi- tecture means a robust, monolithic design with no optics to align or maintain, no mechanics to stabilize, and with the focusable power and high power densities needed for the most exacting applications.
