The 1 Rack Unit (1RU) chassis contains two CFP MSA interconnect cages, one for each line interface and two QSFP MSA client interconnect cages, one for each client interface. When paired with IPG's coherent CFP and QSFP, the single line card supports two independent transponder channels. The 1RU Transponder system has an Optical Supervisory Channel (OSC) to facilitate near-end-to-far end communications between systems. The system is managed via SNMP and accessed through an RJ45 Ethernet DCN connection on the 1RU chassis front panel. A WEBGUI interface is also available via Ethernet connectivity to a simple web browser.
