IPS High Purity Tubing Catalog

Product catalog summary
Overview: International Polymer Solutions Inc. manufactures high purity flow control products, including three types of high purity tubing: PFA, PTFE, and FEP. These products are designed for ultra-clean applications and are resistant to corrosive media. They are UL 94 VO flammability rated, resist combustion, and are FDA compliant for food contact.
Types of Tubing:
  • Perfluoroalkoxy (PFA) Tubing: Virtually non-porous, tolerates tight bends, translucent with a bluish tint, accommodates extreme temperatures, similar to PTFE but more formable, can be welded and sealed by melting.
  • Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) Tubing: Made from 100% pure virgin PTFE, flexible with smooth ID and OD, bendable for controlled flow paths, excellent high temperature performance, chemical resistance, biocompatibility, dielectric insulation, and low permeability.
  • Fluorinated Ethylene-Propylene (FEP) Tubing: Flexible but prone to kinking if bent too tightly, can be welded and sealed by melting, very tough and can be rigorously cleaned, offers visual clarity as an alternative to PTFE.
Temperature Ratings:
  • PTFE: -200ºC to 240ºC (-328ºF to 464ºF)
  • FEP: -70ºC to 180ºC (-94ºF to 356ºF)
  • PFA: -180ºC to 240ºC (-292ºF to 464ºF)
Ordering Information: Tubing orders are processed in 5-ft increments. For special applications, contact customer service or local distributors. A one-year factory warranty applies.
Pressure Ratings: The operating pressure can be estimated using the formula: OP = W*T/I, where OP is the operating pressure, W is wall thickness, T is tensile strength, and I is inside diameter. Tensile strength varies with temperature and material.
Product Specifications: Detailed specifications for PFA, FEP, and PTFE tubing are provided, including part numbers, outer diameter (OD) size, OD tolerance, ID tolerance, wall tolerance, ID size, and wall thickness.

IPS High Purity Tubing Catalog-1

High Purity Tubing IPS offers three types of High Purity Tubing. All three are classified as High Purity solutions for ultra-clean applications and are excellent with corrosive media. These three tubing choices are UL 94 VO Flammability Rated. They resist combustion and do not promote flame spread. They are also approved for use in food contact applications in compliance with FDA regulation: 21 CFR 177.1550. We process tubing orders in discrete increments of 5-ft lengths. Polytetrafluoroethylene - PTFE Tubing • 100% pure true virgin PTFE • Flexible with extremely smooth ID and OD • Bendable to form tight controlled flow paths • Good for applications requiring lubricity • Excellent High Temperature Performance • Excellent Chemical Resistance & Biocompatibility • Excellent Dielectric Insulation Properties • Low Permeability • Compatible with all conventional fittings Perfluoroalkoxy - PFA Tubing • Thermoplastic which is virtually non-porous • Tolerates tight bends (shape with hot air heat gun) • Translucent with a Bluish Tint • Accommodates extreme temperature ranges • Similar to PTFE and more formable into shapes • Can be welded and sealed by melting Fluorinated Ethylene-Propylene - FEP Tubing • Flexible but will kink if bent too tightly • Can be welded and sealed by melting Temperature Ratings • Very tough material – can be rigorously cleaned PTFE -200ºC/240ºC • For visual clarity FEP is an FEP -70ºC/180ºC alternate to PTFE PFA -180ºC/240ºC international polymer solutions inc. • manufacturer of high purity flow cont
