Locking solutions for micro-screws Pre-coating the micro-screws Watches, glasses, handbag, cellphone,… all these objects are subjected to vibrations and shocks which involve “naturally” the loosening of the screws which assemble these equipment. To increase their quality and reliability, it is necessary to lock these screwed assemblies. In the 80’s, we developed the technique of locking by bonding on micro-screws for a famous luxury brand. This customer is still faithful. Our customers are luxury goods manufacturers in particular in watch-making industry, glasses manufacturer, luxury bags and leather industry and manufacturers of mobile phones and other electronic devices. Solutions for Micro-screws Our special machines, developed in-house, allow us to process small and great series with the utmost and a technical control to the last perfect detail within very short times. To carry out the coating of the micro-screws of S0.7 to M2, we propose 2 types of solutions: by bonding solution by microcapsules: - The technique consists in pre-coating the threads with a microencapsulated adhesive which is activated only while screwing. Upon assembly, the adhesive components are released and creates a bond between the male and female threads. It is the most effective anti-unscrewing solution. n epositionable solution locking by polyamide: R - During screwing, the polyamide is compressed. The tension caused by the elastic strain of the product creates locking. This patch is re-usable because the deformation of the polyamide is reversible and thus makes it possible to screw and unscrew several times.
