INKOMA-GROUP System EMCO-Dynatorq 2013.01 Inkobrake The Inkobrake (IKB) is a DC spring applied brake. The spring applied brake is released when a DC voltage is applied to the electromagnetic coil and will engage when power has been interrupted. Therefore it is used in applications where a rotating shaft needs to stop quickly or when safe stopping is required in case of power failure. The Inkobrake can also be used for saving energy within a drive train as no power is required when holding the load, unlike a servo that relies on holding current to maintain position. An optional hand release is also available to manually release the brake in the event of continuous power failure. Fields of applications are: •electric motors •cranes and hoists •machine tools •packaging machines •textile machines •construction machinery •wind turbines •conveyors •printing machines •elevators •fork trucks INKOMA - GROUP INKOMA ALBERT A - I - M
