Product catalog summary
Overview: The document provides technical details about the Inkobrake System EMCO-Dynatorq, a DC spring-applied brake used in various industrial applications. It highlights the features, applications, and specifications of the Inkobrake Standard (IKBs) and Quick Release (IKBq) versions.
Specifications: The Inkobrake is a DC spring-applied brake that engages when power is interrupted, making it suitable for applications requiring quick or safe stopping. It is energy-efficient as it does not require power to hold a load. An optional hand release is available for manual operation during power failures.
Applications: The Inkobrake is used in electric motors, cranes, hoists, machine tools, packaging machines, textile machines, construction machinery, wind turbines, conveyors, printing machines, elevators, and fork trucks.
Key Features:
  • Inkobrake Standard (IKBs): Compact size, easy installation, corrosion-protected metal parts, simple wear adjustment, 'F' class insulation coil, non-asbestos friction liner, low rotor inertia, customizable solutions, dust protection seal, and optional hand release.
  • Inkobrake Quick Release (IKBq): In addition to the standard features, it offers energy efficiency, faster reaction times, longer life friction plate, and reduced heating. It uses two brake coils for quicker release and consumes only 40% of the energy compared to the standard version.
Technical Data: The document includes tables with specifications such as braking torque, maximum rotational speed, input power, moment of inertia, and mass for different models of IKBs and IKBq.

INKOMA - Freins Inkobrake | Système EMCO dynatorq-1

INKOMA-GROUP System EMCO-Dynatorq 2013.01 Inkobrake The Inkobrake (IKB) is a DC spring applied brake. The spring applied brake is released when a DC voltage is applied to the electromagnetic coil and will engage when power has been interrupted. Therefore it is used in applications where a rotating shaft needs to stop quickly or when safe stopping is required in case of power failure. The Inkobrake can also be used for saving energy within a drive train as no power is required when holding the load, unlike a servo that relies on holding current to maintain position. An optional hand release is also available to manually release the brake in the event of continuous power failure. Fields of applications are: •electric motors •cranes and hoists •machine tools •packaging machines •textile machines •construction machinery •wind turbines •conveyors •printing machines •elevators •fork trucks INKOMA - GROUP INKOMA ALBERT A - I - M
