- Torsion Test: Applicable to pipe joints ≤ DN 40. The joint is filled with water, pressurized, and then relieved. It must transmit a torque of up to 80 Nm without torsion of the pipe ends.
- Flexibility Test for Flexible Fittings: Assemblies are tested for flexibility under pressure, deflecting to the manufacturer's maximum recommended angle for 15 cycles without leakage or damage.
- Seismic Evaluation: Flexible couplings are tested for use in earthquake zones, deflecting to the maximum angle for 15 cycles under working pressure without leakage or damage.
- Lateral Displacement: Couplings should not leak during tests within the manufacturer's limits for angular deflection or lateral displacement.
- Hydrostatic Fluctuation Pressure Test: Assemblies are pressurized to 10 bar ±1 bar, subjected to a vacuum, and then re-pressurized, with no leakage allowed.
- Fire Test: Non-ferrous gasketed couplings are exposed to 1000°F (538°C) for 5 minutes. After cooling, they are reassembled with a gasket and hydrostatically tested.
