Description of the Equipment
The I-IDS Ink Dispenser is designed for mixing up to 32 colors with a precision of 1 gram. It is ATEX approved for use in explosive environments, suitable for solvent-based inks. The system uses air-operated nozzles for precise dosing and includes a pneumatic cylinder for bucket handling, minimizing operator intervention. Ink lines are equipped with pneumatic pumps and controlled by software to prevent drying and clogging, eliminating the need for a washing circuit. Software
The system is managed by interactive software with an Omron PLC, PC, and touch screen. It controls ink dispensing, creates mix recipes, verifies proportions, and manages inventory. The software can configure recirculation frequency to avoid obstructions and includes a PC with a protected keyboard and mouse, and an inkjet printer for reports and labels. Key functions include running ink mixes, dispensing according to formulas, inventory control, and generating various reports. There is no limit to data entry, and optional modules for spectrophotometer integration and ERP/MRP connections are available.

Recovery of Inks
The system allows for the recovery and management of excess ink. Remaining ink from jobs can be weighed and stored in the database, facilitating immediate availability for future use. This reduces delivery times and limits leftover ink. An optional feature measures solids/solvent concentration for stored inks.
