TurbiTechw² Suspended Solids and Turbidity Sensors

TurbiTechw² Suspended Solids and Turbidity Sensors

TurbiTechw² Suspended Solids and Turbidity Sensors

Product catalog summary
Overview
The document discusses the TurbiTechw² range of sensors designed for monitoring suspended solids and turbidity, which are key indicators of plant performance. These sensors help in reacting to changes in influent quality, equipment breakdown, and process characteristics, leading to savings in energy, chemical use, and time, while improving environmental water quality.

Ease of Use
The TurbiTechw² sensors feature a fully automatic self-cleaning system, enhancing reliability and ease of operation. This system eliminates the need for expensive compressors required for air blast cleaning.

Accurate Measurements
The sensors utilize a solid-state infrared light source for stable and long-lasting measurements. The design includes large optical surfaces and sample volumes to improve fouling tolerance between cleaning cycles.

Applications
The sensors are suitable for various applications including final effluent, intake protection, primary settled sludge, MLSS, activated sludge, RAS, SAS, and membrane reactors.

Cost Efficiency
The mechanical cleaning system reduces costs associated with maintenance and servicing, which can be performed in minutes without specialist training.

TurbiTechw² Suspended Solids and Turbidity Sensors-1

TurbiTechw² Suspended Solids and Turbidity Sensors SUSPENDED SOLIDS OR TURBIDITY MONITORING PROVIDES AN EXCELLENT INDICATOR OF PLANT PERFORMANCE, ALLOWING USERS TO REACTS TO CHANGES IN INFLUENT QUALITY, EQUIPMENT BREAKDOWN AND PROCESS CHARTERISTICS. BY HAVING THIS INFORMATION AVAILABLE 24 HOURS PER DAY, LARGE SAVINGS CAN BE MADE IN ENERGY AND CHEMICAL USE AND TIME AS WELL AS IMPROVING ENVIRONMENTAL WATER QUALITY. EASE OF USE • The market leading TurbiTechw² range of sensors are designed for monitoring Suspended Solids and/or Turbidity and incorporate a fully automatic self contained slef-cleaning system. It is the selfcleaning system that makes these sensors expectionally reliable and easy to operate. ACCURATE MEASUREMENTS • The sensors use a solids state infrared light source providing a stable and long lasting basis for the measurements, the optical surfaces and sample volumes have deliberately been kept large to improve tolerance of fouling during the periods between the automatic self-clean action. LESS EXPENSIVE • The mechanical cleaning system means that there is no need for expensive and troublesome compressors that are required for air blast cleaning. The sensor can be serviced in minutes without the need for specialist training. • The LS version of the TurbiTechw² sensor uses 90° Light Scatter as their operating principle. They are compliant with the international standard for Turbidity monitoring ISO 7027. • The TurbiTechw² LA & HR Sensors have been designed for use in aeration systems. The TurbiTechw² HR Sensor is suitable for monitoring solids in higher ranges than the standard LA version of the sensor due to it’s shorter path length. PARAMETERS • Turbidity • Total Suspended Solids Applications: • FINAL EFFLUENT • INTAKE PROTECTION • PRIMARY SETTLED • SLUDGE • MLSS • ACTIVATED SLUDGE • RAS
