Advantages include no need for additional chemicals, no alteration of water properties, no secondary product formation, and low operating costs.
All PURO sterilizers have a stainless steel sterilization chamber, with quartz housings that are over 98% transparent to UV-C rays. They feature low-pressure mercury vapor lamps with an average lifespan of 8000 hours. Ozone-emitting lamps are available for specific needs. The sterilizers are equipped with electronic high-frequency ballasts for lamp operation.
Residential sterilizers are powered by a low tension 220/24VAC transformer. Industrial models include an electric panel with forced ventilation and are powered at 220 VAC. All units have operation LEDs, hour counters, power-on lights, and alarm lights.
PURO sterilizers are designed to deliver a minimum UV-C dose of 40,000 µW/cm2 at maximum nominal delivery rates. The actual dose can be calculated using the formula D = E · t, where D is the dose, E is the irradiation intensity, and t is the exposure time.
