AH the controls are ergonomically arranged on the tiller head to guarantee ease of opration with maximum safety. The forward/reverse accl驩ration is obtained by means of the throttle controls located on the sides of the head control unit; by releasing thse controls, the truck is stopped by the action of the electromagnetic brake and recycled-energy braking, whatever the position of the tiller. The truck is also equipped with a microswitch on the tiller for emergency stops. Also positioned on the head control unit are the fork lift and lower control buttons, the warning horn button, the lockout switch and an emergency stop pushbutton. Chssis The single-body structure has been specially designed to ensure compactness. rigidity and sturdiness, limiting the machine's own weight so as to channel the maximum power into the loading op袩rations. The fork lift and lower function is activated by pressing the buttons situated on the head control unit without releasing the head; this arrangement makes for greater work speed and reduces operator effort. In the mode! GL PICKING, the platform lifting and lowering are controlled via the sp驩cial pushbuttons placed on the platform itself. The fork bearing frame runs on roller bearings inside C 40 races, while the lifting levers rotate on lubricated bushes. To take up slacks, the tie-rods are fitted with adjusters.
