Design and Construction

The valves incorporate a compact, space-saving design with high-strength hardened steel components. The ball seat undergoes special treatment, and the patented spherical shell is made from hardened, polished ball bearing steel. Screw-in valves seal via an edge sealing that forms a gap-free chamber for the O-ring, ensuring leak-tight installation.

Product Variants and Dimensions

Several types are offered, including:

RVA and RVB: Screw-in check valves available in nominal sizes 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 16 with detailed dimensions for thread size, length, and O-ring specifications. RVA6, RVA8, and RVA10 are available in stainless steel; others on request.
RVE and RVF: Cage valves with screw-in sockets and elastic sealing, available in sizes 6, 8, and 10 with specified dimensions.
RVG: Cage valves with internal threads on both sides, available in sizes 6, 8, and 10.

Installation Guidelines

Strict adherence to specified drill hole dimensions (especially the 'X' dimension) is mandatory for proper valve fit.
Minimum installation depths are defined to avoid interference with plugs, threads, or transverse holes.
For environments with strong shocks or vibrations, securing valves with Loctite or similar adhesives is recommended; cage valves come pre-secured.
Tightening torques for RVA and RVB types range from 6 Nm to 80 Nm depending on valve size.

Flow Characteristics

Flow rate curves are provided for all valve types measured at an oil viscosity of 50 cSt. Maximum flow rates must not be exceeded, even under sudden load conditions such as after accumulators or hoses, to prevent damage or malfunction.

Maximum flow rates range from 2 l/min (RVA2) up to 100 l/min (RVA16) for screw-in valves and similarly scaled values for cage valves.
