Water & Wastewater Counter Pressure Screw In Stainless Steel Enhanced volume and weight reduction of screenings when used in conjunction with Screw Wash Press Applications • Wastewater Treatment Works. • Shredded Screening Requirements. • Dewatering Process Requirements. Advantages The combination of MEVA Counter Pressure Screw and MEVA Screw Wash Press results in a product optimal for incineration. The result is a product with dry solids content of 50-60%, shredded screenings and a superior washing effect. It gives 50% less screenings compared to SWP with a pipe system. MEVA Counter Pressure Screw (CPS) • Superior dewatering. • Major volume and weight reduction. • Shredded screenings. • SWP & CPS achieve DS contents of up to 60%. • Decreased disposal costs. • Patented. • Cost savings of up to 80%. • High quality materials guarantee a long life. MEVA Screw Wash Press (SWP) How it Works MEVA Counter Pressure Screw (CPS) is connected to the Screw Wash Press (SWP) by a pipe bend. The CPS creates a counter pressure during the working cycle of the SWP. The counter pressure increases until the pre-set SWP current consumption is achieved, whereafter the CPS starts and the SWP stops. In this way, the pressure is continuously adjusted resulting in a maximised dry solids content. Counter Pressure Screw (CPS) The high counter pressure also ensures a long retention time in the press zone, which provides a superior washing effect. At the discharge of the CPS the material is shredded, making it optimal for incineration. The CPS also works as a conveyor enabling long vertical conveying distances. turning water around ...® Tel: 01353 645700 • Fax: 01353 645702 • www.hydro-international.biz

This has lead to demands for screenings with a high DS content and screenings which are suitable for incineration. The MEVA CPS gives a major volume and weight reduction and so allows reduced disposal costs.
