Product Profile enhanced biofiltration system that packages as a conveyance device or as part of an attenuation or infiltration system. The small footprint makes it ideal for both new developments and retrofit to existing ones. Advantages Over Conventional Biofilters Hydro Filterra™ is similar in concept to conventional bioretention filters or rain gardens. However, unlike these devices, it does not require a prolonged period of contact time to remove pollutants. Instead, specially engineered filter media within the Hydro Filterra™ allows high volume throughput whilst achieving high pollutant removal. This allows for a more compact device, with the surface area of the Hydro Filterra™ only 0.2 to 0.3% of the drained site See the table below for typical pollutant removal. S tor mw at er Hydro Filterra™ How it Works The system consists of a concrete chamber, a 75 mm mulch layer, approximately 500 mm of unique soil filter media, an observation / clean out facility, a drain system and an appropriate type of plant, eg. flowers, grasses, shrub or tree.
