INDUCTION MOTOR FAMILY Series KH, KN Direct Drive AC Induction Motors Mounting: NEMA 2-11 Standard High Slip - high starting torque, rapid reversal and/or dynamic braking required Normal Slip - greater output torque, maintain relatively uniform speed but do not have synchronous timing characteristics .8 to 1550 RPM Class A (105°C) 3 leads 22AWG (approx. 12 inches [304.8 mm]) Output Speed: Insulation Class: Lead Wire: Operation Ambient -10°C to +40°C (approx.) Temp: Capacitor is required for operation. Capacitor supplied with 115 Vac 60 Hz motors. Note: Typical data subject to change without notification KH Series (high slip) and KN (normal slip) non-synchronous motors are direct replacements for other motors of this type. Both provide NEMA 2-11 mounting, permanent lubrication, and are reversible (capacitor furnished with 115V, 60Hz models). Geared models have a "Heli-Spur" combination with the primary gear stage helical and the subsequent stages spur. This gearing design provides for quiet, efficient operations. All motors are designed for continuous duty. KH Series motors are usually employed where high starting torque, rapid reversal and/or dynamic braking is required. KN Series motors have much greater output torque than synchronous motors, maintain relatively uniform speed but do not have synchronous timing characteristics.
