Overview: The FireBox LPD HF is a hand-fired system designed by Hurst Boiler & Welding Co., Inc. for producing low-pressure steam or hot water. It is suitable for applications requiring outputs ranging from 3,450 to 20,700 lbs/hr at 15 PSI steam or 30 PSI hot water.
Design and Technology: This system combines traditional biomass combustion techniques with advanced combustion control technologies. It is particularly effective in environments with low labor costs and can handle biomass waste with moisture content between 8% and 50% with minimal fuel preparation.
Boiler Vessel: The boiler features a two-pass hybrid design with a water-tubed boiler-type water membrane and a two-pass fire tube scotch marine vessel. The three-pass fire tube firebox design reduces the need for refractory materials.
Key Features:- Manual ash removal process.
- Optional power draft burner for gas, oil, or combination fuels.
- Refractory lined ash hopper and exhaust stack.
- Equipped with water level and safety controls, including a safety relief valve.
- Removable front turn around and tube access, as well as a rear smoke box with hand hole.
- Replaceable fire grates and under grate air system.
Additional Information: The system is designed for easy setup and includes features such as a water thermostat, hot water supply and return, and wood waste fuel capability.
