As IS WELL documented thoriated tungstens are radioactive and carcinogenic and have to be stored and handled in special conditions. When ground, thoriated tungstens need special precautions to be taken to prevent inhalation of the dust. Available with an optional, low cost, vacuum dust extraction system mounted on the side, powered by compressed air or gas to eliminate extra motors or moving parts and to provide a longer trouble free life. The dust is drawn into a see through collection bowl which can be easily removed for the collected dust to be disposed of as necessary.
