The space-saving rotary seal type RODI is designed specifically for sealing rotating components. Ab Profilbreite 3,9 mm verfügt er über eine radiale Lekkage-/Schmierstoffnut in der Lauffläche, die für geringe Reibung, hohe Dichtheit und niedrige Losbrechmomente sorgt. From profile width 3.9 mm it has a radial leakage/lubricant groove in the slide ring surface which provides a low friction, high sealing effect with low break-away forces. Werkstoffbedingt müssen die Spaltverhältnisse zwischen Rotor und Stator enger als beim Typ RDI ausgelegt werden. The gap between rotor and stator must be smaller than that of the RDI due to the seal design. Der RODI weist eine größere statische Haftfläche auf und ist daher dem RODA vorzuziehen. The RODI is preferred to the RODA due to its greater static contact surface. Je nach Anforderung und Betriebsbedingungen empfiehlt sich eine Behandlung der Gegenlauffläche, wie z. B.
