Overview
The HUBER Screenings Wash Press WAP/SL/HP is designed for the efficient washout of organics and high-pressure dewatering of screenings in wastewater treatment processes. It achieves dewatering performance up to 60% dry residue (DR) and enhances the thermal value of screenings.

Design and Function
The system operates in batch mode, where screenings are either dropped or flushed into a launder tank. The tank is filled with wash water and agitated to remove fecal matter through high turbulence and shear. The washing intensity is adjustable to match the quality of the screenings. After washing, the water drains back into the wastewater flow.

Dewatering Process
Screenings are conveyed into a press zone and dewatered using a compacting screw. A second press zone applies high pressure to achieve up to 60% DS content. The system is constructed with wear-resistant materials for durability. Press water is collected and discharged with carbon-rich wash water.
