Screenings Wash Press WAP/HP

Product catalog summary
Design and Function
The HUBER Screenings Wash Press WAP/HP is designed to minimize the water content of screenings using high pressure. Screenings are fed directly from a screen or conveyor into the wash press, where a robust screw transports them into a wash zone. Here, wash water creates turbulence to separate organic particles effectively. The washed screenings are then conveyed to a press zone for intensive pre-pressing and further compacted under high pressure to achieve up to 60% dry solids content. The system is constructed with wear-resistant materials for long-term reliability, and the press water is collected and discharged with carbon-rich wash water.
User Benefits
The system offers several benefits, including dewatering performance up to 60% dry solids, volume and weight reduction by up to 80%, and reduced disposal costs. It features a hydraulically controlled high-pressure zone, is made entirely of stainless steel, and is insensitive to coarse material. The system allows for the return of carbon-rich filtrate to the wastewater stream and can use screened wastewater or process water as wash water. Its sturdy design and reinforced compacting screw enhance wear protection, contributing to high economic efficiency.

Minimize the water content of screenings with high pressure! The screenings to be treated are discharged directly from a screen or conveyor (e.g. screw conveyor) into the feed trough of the Wash Press. A robust conveying and compacting screw transports the screenings into the wash zone where they are exposed to directed and powerful turbulence created by automatic introduction of wash water (service water). The turbulence achieves perfect separation of organic particles and thus effective screenings washing. The washing intensity and cycles are individually adjustable. The washed screenings are...
